literature or literary text: literature or literary tex is fake that could of happen like " Call of the Wild"
3.) What are text features? "Nonfiction text contains common features such as titles, headings, and subheadings, captions, maps, diagrams, charts and graphs, and legends"
4.) Skim through "Phineas Gage" and identify the text features reviewed in class and included in this informational text. Use the listed features to help you identify them in the text. Once you have identified the features in the text note the page number. In addition, provide an explanation/purpose of the feature and how it helps the reader. NOTE: Not all features reviewed in class are included in "Phineas Gage." In this case, define the purpose of the feature, no page numbers are necessary.

- Guide Words- anything that stands out and tell you where in is.
- Title Page- a title page is the title of a page like " what we thought about how we thought" (p.36)
- Table of Content- the table of Contents is at the begining of the book they brake down the book it to peaces like on (p.4)
- Index- the Index is a part in the back of the book and it gives you word and where things are it is on (p.116)
- Glossary- the Glossary is words in the back of the book that give you the definion of the words. (p.108)
- Heading, subheading-the Heading, subheading is
- Keywords- Keywords are words that are in the book that is important or can be important
- Photographs/Illustrations - Page 16-17, etc. - Helps the reader understand something by looking at it from the inside. Gives the reader an image to support the information provided in the text like axon (p.49)
- Captions- the Captions are like when you see a photo of something and there are words under it that is a Caption. (p.9)
- Diagrams- a Diagram is is words in a photo explaning what is in the photo like in (p.14)
- Labels- Labels are lines pointing to things in the photo with words on the end saying what it is. (p.43)
- Text box- a Text box is words in the book saying what something is (p.43)
- Map- "a diagrammatic representation of an area of land or sea showing physical features, cities, roads, etc." (n/a)
- Special Print (bold, italics, highlighted text) A Special Print is something important like on (p.48)
